Create Customer Account and Register Appliance

Applicable to Version: 9 onwards

 

Cyberoam consist of 2 types of modules:

·    Basic modules – Firewall, VPN, Bandwidth Management, Traffic discovery, Multi Link Manager and Reports

·    Subscription modules - Gateway Anti Virus, Gateway Anti-spam, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Web and Application Filtering

 

Basic Module is pre-registered with the Appliance for the indefinite time period usage while Subscription Modules are to be subscribed before use.

 

You need to register appliance if you want to:

·    Avail 8 x 5 support

·    Subscribe to any of the Subscription modules

·    Subscribe for FREE 15-day trial of any of the Subscription modules

·    Register for 24 x 7 support

 

Create Customer Account and Register Appliance

Prerequisite: For registration, the Cyberoam appliance must be able to connect to the Internet as it will contact the Cyberoam’s central registration site with the Appliance details.

 

In order to register the appliance you must create a customer account. You can register the appliance any time but it is preferable that you register the appliance after you complete initial configuration using Network Configuration Wizard.

 

1.       Browse to http://<IP address of Cyberoam> and log on to Cyberoam Web Admin Console with username ‘cyberoam’ and password ‘cyber’

 

Note: To access Cyberoam Web Admin Console, Internet Explorer 5.5+ or Mozilla Firefox 1.5+ is required

 

2.       Click Register icon or go to Help Licensing. Page will display the installed Appliance model number and the list of subscription modules. Till the Appliance is registered, status of the Appliance and all the subscription modules will be ‘Appliance Unregistered’.

 

 

3.       Click Register against the Appliance model number. Application Registration form is opened which displays Appliance Key and Appliance Model number which will be registered.

 

Fill the form and click Register. Your account will be created with the username as specified in the Email ID field.

Please specify simple and appropriate secret Question and Answer as this information is used for the password recovery and will be prompted to you incase you forget the password for your account. 

 

Note: If you are using HTTP Proxy server to connect to the Web, Click External Proxy Server Information to configure for proxy server. 

4.       This creates your customer account with the username as specified in Email ID.  If you have not registered your appliance, this process will also register your Appliance.

 

On successful registration, status of the Appliance and 8 x 5 Support module will  change to ‘Registered’ and ‘Subscribed’ respectively. 8 x 5 Support module will be subscribed for one year.

 

 

 

Register Appliance with existing Customer Account

1.       Browse to http://<IP address of Cyberoam> and log on to Cyberoam Web Admin Console with username ‘cyberoam’ and password ‘cyber’

 

Note: To access Cyberoam Web Admin Console, Internet Explorer 5.5+ or Mozilla Firefox 1.5+ is required

 

2.       Go to Help Licensing. Page will display the installed Appliance model number and the list of subscription modules. Till the Appliance is registered, status of the Appliance and all the subscription modules will be ‘Appliance Unregistered’.

3.       Click Register against the Appliance model number to open the registration page. Page displays Appliance Key and Appliance Model number which will be registered. Specify your customer account username and password from which you want to register.

 

Note

You can register multiple appliances from single customer account.

 

On successful registration, status of the Appliance and 8 x 5 Support module will  change to ‘Registered’ and ‘Subscribed’ respectively. 8 x 5 Support module will be subscribed for one year.
